Suporte hemoterápico ao paciente em emergência médica / Hemotherapeutic support to patients in medical emergency

RESUMO

A hemoterapia implica a adequada indicação dos componentes sanguíneos, a consciência e a prevenção dos riscos inerentes ao ato transfusional, que são guiados pelas condições clínicas do paciente e pelos resultados de exames laboratoriais. Esta revisão trata dos principais hemocomponentes e a prática hemoterápica no adulto em situação de urgência/emergência.

ABSTRACT

Hemotherapy implies the appropriate prescription of blood components, the awareness and prevention of risks inherent in the transfusion act, which are guided by the patientïs clinical conditions and by the results of laboratory tests. This review deals with the main blood components and the hemotherapy practice in adults under urgency/emergency situation.
