Construção de um questionário para análise do conhecimento sobre o atendimento inicial ao queimado / Construction of a questionnaire for the analysis of knowledge about the intial treatment of the patient with burns

A equipe de saúde que presta atendimento inicial ao queimado deve possuir conhecimento científico para ter condições de aumentar a chance de sobrevivência do paciente. Como não existe um instrumento nacional para avaliar o conhecimento de profissionais de saúde nesta área, definiu-se como objetivo desta dissertação com base em uma pesquisa metodológica de abordagem quantitativa, construir esse instrumento de medida, cuja finalidade é identificar o conhecimento de enfermeiros e médicos sobre o atendimento inicial do queimado. Obteve-se autorização do Comitê de Ética e Pesquisa em Seres Humanos e do hospital escola onde se realizou o préteste. A estrutura do instrumento foi fundamentada na teoria de elaboração de escalas psicológica de Pasquali (1998). Por meio da elucidação teórica, resultante da investigação de referências solidificadas na área de enfermagem e na área médica, foram construídas sessenta questões de múltipla escolha. A validade aparente e de conteúdo foi julgada por meio de um painel de oito experts e dez profissionais de saúde e por um pré-teste realizado no pronto atendimento do hospital escola. Os "experts", subsidiados pelo "guia de análise das propriedades psicométricas do questionário (adaptado de Pasquali, 1998)", apresentaram trinta e seis questões com validade de conteúdo. Os dez profissionais fizeram sugestões, que foram acatadas, para melhorar a inteligibilidade das questões. O instrumento validado consistiu em trinta e sete questões sobre o atendimento inicial do queimado, abordando conhecimento geral, de enfermagem e de medicina. Foi aplicado em uma população de vinte e um enfermeiros e vinte e dois médicos, distribuídos equitativamente quanto ao sexo e com idade média de 38 anos. 25 (58,1%) possuíam formação acadêmica em nível de especialização, 12 (27,9%) em mestrado, 05 (11,6%) em doutorado e 1 (2,3%) em graduação...

ABSTRACT

Health teams providing initial assistance for burn victims must have scientific knowledge in order to increase the chances of survival for these patients. Given there is no nationwide standard to evaluate the knowledge of health professionals on this specialty, the objective of this study was to build a tool to measure and identify the knowledge of nurses and physicians regarding initial assistance for burn victims. This is a methodological research with a quantitative approach. Authorization was obtained from The Committee for Ethics and Human Research, and from the teaching hospital where the pre-test was conducted. The creation of the validation instrument was based on Pasquali's theory of psychological scales (1998) and consisted of theoretical solving, by means of the investigation of authoritative references in the nursing and medical fields, and construction of sixty multiple choice questions. Apparent validity and content were analyzed by means of an evaluation by an eight-member panel of experts and ten health professionals, respectively, as wel las by a pre-test at the teaching hospital ER. The experts, based on the "Analytical guide of the psychometric properties of the questionnaire (adapted from Pasquali, 1998)" presented thirty-six questions with content validity. The ten health professionals made suggestions, which were accepted, to improve the intelligibility of the questions. The validated tool consisted of thirty-seven questions about the initial assistance for burn victims, approaching general knowledge, nursing and medicine. The questionnaire was applied on a sample of 21 nurses and 22 physicians.
