RESUMEN
Se realiza un estudio en el área de salud del policlínico "Luis Augusto Turcios Lima" del municipio 10 de Octubre, con el fin de conocer la prevalencia del asma en dicha zona. Se comparam los datos obtenidos por otros investigadores en otras áreas. Se estudian los factores relacionados con las crisis de asma en estos pacientes. En la muestra de 8144 personas se detectan 636 asmáticos, para una prevalencia de 7,8%
