Caracterização de comunidade rural do sul da Bahia: a importância do programa saúde da família na identificação e conhecimento de agravos de saúde / Characterization of the rural community of southern bahia: the importance of the family health program in the identification and knowledge of health problems

RESUMO

Este trabalho objetiva verificar as características socioeconômicas e da saúde,condições de vida, perfil de morbidade e sugerir ações que possam melhorar a qualidade de vida das pessoas da comunidade rural de Itiúba, Jaguaquara BA. O método utilizado foi de corte transversal, descritivo. Utilizou-se como instrumento de coleta de dados a ficha A do Sistema de Informação e Atenção Básica SIAB. A população é composta por 195 famílias, das quais foram entrevistadas 187, tendo em vista que 8 não moravam em Itiúba no momento da pesquisa novembro e dezembro de 2008. Os resultados apontaram uma comunidade com problemas nas áreas econômicas (praga de vassoura de bruxa no cacau, social alto número de analfabetos e, na saúde, falta de saneamento básico como: água tratada, rede de esgoto e carência de uma Unidade de Saúde adequada para atender a demanda da população. Quanto aos agravos referidos como mais importantes, identificaram-se hipertensão arterial e dorsalgia. Cabe a todos os envolvidos com a comunidade uma ação sinérgica para a solução dos problemas existentes.

ABSTRACT

This study aims at determining the socioeconomic characteristics and health, conditions of life, morbidity profile in order to propose actions that can improve the quality of life of the people of the rural community of Itiúba Jaguaquara BA. The method used was a cross-sectional,descriptive questionnaire and the type ?A? form of the Information and Primary Care System ISPC. The population consists of 195 families, 187 of which were interviewed, taking into account the fact that 8 of these did not live in Itiúba at the time of the survey November and December, 2008. The results showed a community with problems in the economic (the plague of witches broom on coco), social areas high number of illiterates, and in respect to health, it lacks basic sanitation such as potable water, sewer system and an adequate Health Unit to meet the demands of the population. As to the health problems referred to as the most important arterial hypertension and dorsalgia were identified. It is a responsibility of all those involved with the community to act in synergy to solve the existing problems.
