Avaliação da qualidade da informação: linkage entre SIM e SINASC em Jaboatão dos Guararapes (PE) / Evaluation of the quality of information: linkage between SIM and SINASC in Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Pernambuco State

RESUMO

O objetivo do presente estudo foi investigar a notificação da declaração de nascidos vivos (DNV) em residentes de Jaboatão dos Guararapes (PE), que foram a óbito com menos de um ano, através do linkage entre o Sistema de Informação sobre Mortalidade (SIM) e o Sistema de Informação sobre Nascidos Vivos (SINASC) em 2004, com a finalidade de avaliar a qualidade da informação. A população em estudo foi composta por 184 declarações de óbito (DO) registradas no SIM; em seguida, foi realizado o pareamento destas com as respectivas declarações de nascido vivo (DNV). A partir daí, verificou-se que 49 DNV não tinham sido registradas no SINASC, sendo necessário realizar a busca ativa destas nas diferentes localidades de ocorrência do óbito. Após este procedimento, 33 (67,35 por cento) prontuários foram localizados. Destes, foram resgatadas as DNV de sete (14,29 por cento) e cinco (10,20 por cento) apresentaram divergências de informações. Estes resultados chamam atenção para a necessidade de capacitar os profissionais que preenchem os instrumentos-base dos sistemas de informação, melhorando assim a qualidade dos mesmos.

ABSTRACT

The aim of this study was to investigate the notification of the statement of live birth to Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Pernambuco State, residents, which died with less than a year of life, through the linkage between the System of Information on Mortality (SIM) and the System of Information on Live Birth (SINASC) in the year of 2004, in order to assess the quality of information. The population of the study was composed by 184 death certificates registered on SIM. Then these death certificates were paired with the respective DNV. Hence, it could be verified that 49 DNs had not been registered on the SINASC, which lead to an active search of these in the various localities where the death occurred. After this procedure, 33 (67.35 percent) medical records were located. From these, 7 (14.29 percent) were rescued to the statement of live birth and 5 (10.20 percent) presented divergences of the information. These results call the attention to the need of enabling the professionals that fulfill the base tools of the information systems, thus, improving their quality.
