RESUMO
Foi realizado um estudo retrospectivo de 32 pacientes submetidas a cirurgia de Burch para tratamento de incontinência urinária genuína, no período de agosto/92 a junho/94, no Hospital Júlia Kubitschek FHEMIG (Belo Horizonte MG). O objetivo foi avaliar a eficácia dessa cirurgia após cinco anos e suas complicações. Em 29 pacientes (90,62%) houve melhora total da incontinência urinária e em uma paciente (3,12%) houve melhora parcial. A principal complicação foi infecção do trato urinário. Os resultados foram comparáveis aos observados na literatura.
ABSTRACT
Introduction:
It was realized a retrospective study of 32 patients who were submitted to a Burch surgery for treatment of genuine urinary incontinence during the period between august/92 and june/94, in Hospital Júlia Kubitschek FHEMIG (Belo Horizonte MG). The goal was to evaluate the efficacy of this surgery after 5 years and it's complications. 29 patients (90,62%) had total improvement of the urinary incontinence, one patient (3,12%) had partial. The main complication observed was urinary tract infection. The results are comparable with those in the literature.
