Atención rehabilitadora de la enfermedad cerebrovascular en el municipio Artemisa / Rehabilitation care of cerebrovascular disease in patients from Artemisa municipality

RESUMEN

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, de corte transversal de la enfermedad cerebrovascular en el municipio de Artemisa, dirigido fundamentalmente a la asistencia médico-rehabilitadora de los pacientes con esta enfermedad. La investigación se realizó entre enero del 2007 a diciembre del 2008. Se muestra el trabajo realizado por el Servicio de Rehabilitación Municipal con el seguimiento de los pacientes y acciones de salud por las áreas. Los 123 pacientes atendidos recibieron distintas modalidades de tratamientos en las cuatro salas de Terapia Física y Rehabilitación. De los 56 que fueron visitados por el especialista y clasificados mediante la Escala de Rankin modificada, 39 fueron tratados directamente en su hogar. La secuela más frecuente es la toma motora del hemicuerpo izquierdo, sobe todo en pacientes del sexo masculino

ABSTRACT

A cross-sectional and descriptive study was conducted of cerebrovascular disease in patients from Artemisa municipality aimed mainly at medical-rehabilitation assistance of patients with this disease. Research was carried out from January, 2007 to December, 2008. Work performed by Municipal Rehabilitation Service with the follow-up of patients and health actions by areas. The 123 patients seen received different modalities of treatment in four wards of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. From the 56 patients visited by the specialist and classified according to modified Rankin scale, 39 of them were treated directly at home. The more frequent sequela is the motor take of left side of the body mainly in male patients
