RESUMEN
Con vista a contribuir al perfeccionamiento de la superación profesional en la atención primaria de salud, se analizó la evolución histórica de esta última y la educación de posgrado en ese entorno con referencia a lo teórico, lo metodológico y lo práctico, en correspondencia con el desarrollo docente, asistencial e investigativo; la superación profesional y la voluntad política para la transformación social. Las fuentes de información utilizadas fueron los documentos emitidos por el Ministerio de Salud Pública de Cuba al respecto, así como escritos y materiales publicados por la Escuela Nacional de Salud Pública sobre el tema
ABSTRACT
The historical progress of the primary health care and the postgraduate education in this context referring to theory, methodology, and practice was analyzed, with the aim of contributing to the improvement of the professional self-improvement in correspondence to the teaching, health care, and investigative development, the professional self-improvement and the political will to social transformation. The information sources used were documents by the Ministry of Public Health in Cuba, as well as documents and written materials published from the National School of Public Health about this topic
