RESUMEN

Objetivo:

identificar percepciones y posibles factores de riesgo respecto alembarazo como parte de la Salud Sexual y Reproductiva (SSR) de las mujeresindígenas gestantes habitantes de la ribera del río Amazonas, para planear,proyectar y evaluar el impacto de futuros programas de promoción y prevención de su SSR.

Métodos:

estudio transversal, mediante Búsqueda-Activa-Comunitaria (BAC) detodas las gestantes de las diecinueve comunidades indígenas de la zona, aplicación de encuesta de conocimientos-actitudes-prácticas (CAP) previo consentimiento informado y evaluación del riesgo de cada materna. Sistematización y análisis con Epi-Info 3.5.1, utilizando medidas de frecuencia y tendencia central.

Resultados:

73 gestantes ubicadas con BAC, de la etnia Ticuna (56,2 porciento), Cocama (19,2 porciento), Yagua (8,2 porciento), Huitoto (2,7 porciento), Ocama (1,4 porciento) y mestizas (12,3 porciento); distribuidas por grupo etario 16-18=(20,5 porciento), 19-26=(41,1 porciento), 27-34=(26,0 porciento) y 35-48=(12,3 porciento). Control prenatal insuficiente (64,4 porciento), sin control (21,0 porciento). Partos en los últimos dos años (74,0 porciento); más de cuatro (28,8 porciento); planificación post-parto con inyección (38,1porciento), ligadura (23,8 porciento).

Conclusiones:

se evidenció un alto porcentaje de gestantes en riesgo de acuerdo a su edad y con control prenatal incompleto. Se recomendó fortalecer y reforzar la estrategia de información-comunicación-educación y elaborar materiales didácticos con un lenguaje simple-sencillo-gráfico para capacitar a las gestantes.
ABSTRACT

Objective:

identify perceptions and possible risk factors in regards to pregnancy as part of the sexual and reproductive health (SSR) of expectant Indigenous mothers who live in the shores of the Amazon River, in order to plan, project and evaluate the impact of future programs for the promotion and prevention of their SSR.

Methods:

study, through Busqueda –Activa- Comunitaria (BAC) Active Community Search of all the expectant mothers in the nineteen Indigenous communities of the area, application of survey of knowledge, attitude and practices (CAP) with the previous informed consent and risk evaluation of each expectant mother.Systematization and analysis with Epi-Info 3.5.1, using measures of frequency and central tendencies.

Results:

73 expectant mothers located in the BAC, of the Ticuna ethnic group(56.2%), Cocama (19.2%), Yagua (8.2%), Huitoto (2.7%), Ocama (1.4%), and mixed ancestry (12.3%); distributed by age groups 16 – 18 (20.5%), 19 – 26 (41.1%), 27 – 34 (26.0%), and 35 – 48 (12.3%). Prenatal control inadequate (64.4%), without control (21.0%). Births in the last two years (74%); more than four (28.8%); post partum birth control with shots (38.1%), tubal ligation (23.8%)

Conclusion:

evidence of a high percentage of expectant mothers under risk, according to their age and incomplete prenatal control was clear. The strengthening and reinforcement of the strategies of information – communication – education and the creation of didactic materials with a plain-simple-graphic language in order to educate the expectant mothers, was recommended.
