Relações interpessoais entre os profissionais e as mães de prematuros da unidade canguru / Interpersonal relationships between professionals and mothers of premature from Kangaroo-Unit

RESUMO

Objetivo: Conhecer as relações interpessoais entre profissionais e as mães de recém nascidos prematuros da Unidade Canguru. Métodos: Tratou-se de um estudo exploratório, de abordagem qualitativa. As entrevistas foram realizadas com dez mães e sete profissionais que participaram do Programa Canguru, posteriormente analisadas pela Técnica de Análise de Conteúdo. As perguntas norteadoras utilizadas foram relacionadas aos sentimentos percebidos em relação ao método canguru, relacionadas à díade mãe-filho e às relações interpessoais. Resultados: As mães relataram em seus discursos ?segurança por estar com o bebê no Método Canguru? e ?sentimento de maternalizar durante a amamentação?, enquanto nas falas dos profissionais emergiram ?orientações quanto aos cuidados com o bebê?, ?acolhimento pela equipe? e ?importância do apoio da família.? Conclusões: A interação entre profissionais e mães da unidade canguru facilita a permanência da díade no método, pois desenvolve sentimentos de segurança, tranquilidade e autoconfiança para cuidar do bebê. Sendo importante que a equipe esteja atenta às dificuldades, amparando-a nos momentos mais frágeis e compartilhando seus temores, dúvidas e anseios ao longo dainternação do bebê.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To understand the interpersonal relationships between professionals and mothers of premature newborns of the Kangaroo Unit. Methods: This was an exploratory study of qualitative approach. The interviews were conducted with 10 mothers and 7 professionals who joined in Kangaroo Program and then analyzed by the content analysis technique. The guiding questions used were related to feelings perceived in relation to the Kangaroo method, related to mother-child dyad and interpersonal relationships. Results: Mothersreported on their speeches ?safe to be with the baby in Kangaroo Method? and ?sense of maternal feeling during breast feeding?, while in the professionals? discourses have emerged ?guidelines on caring for the babies?, ?the embracement by the team? and ?the importance of family support.? Conclusions: The interaction between professionals and mothers of Kangaroo Unit facilitates the permanence of the binomial in the method, therefore develops feelings of security, tranquility and confidence to take care of the baby. It is important that the team be aware of the difficulties, supporting them in the weakest moments and sharing their fears, doubts and concerns over the baby?s hospitalization.
