As redes sociais no fortalecimento da ação comunitária: possibilidades e desafios para a promoção da saúde / Social networks in strengthening community action: opportunities and challenges for health promotion

RESUMO

A área da saúde compreende a coexistência de diferentes paradigmas. Nesse contexto, o paradigma da saúde coletiva contém uma perspectiva ampliada acerca da saúde, na qual ela é concebida como fruto dos Determinantes Sociais da Saúde. Frente ao exposto, acredita-se que as redes sociais comunitárias podem contribuir para a melhoria das condições de vida e saúde nas comunidades locais. A partir disso constituiu-se o objetivo desta pesquisa analisar a atuação das redes sociais comunitárias, existentes em uma comunidade do município de Santa Maria / RS, nas práticas de Promoção da Saúde. Para a realização dessa pesquisa e análise dos dados foi utilizado o método qualitativo. A coleta dos dados foi realizada por meio de observação participante, entrevistas semi-estruturadas e análise documental. A análise de conteúdo dos dados originou dois grupos de categorias. No primeiro, estão as categorias referentes à história da comunidade estudada e à constituição e atuação das redes sociais nesta comunidade. No segundo grupo estão as categorias referentes às noções de saúde e Promoção da Saúde na comunidade; às práticas de Promoção da Saúde na comunidade e ao serviço local de saúde no contexto das redes sociais comunitárias. Por meio da discussão destas categorias junto ao referencial teórico pesquisado infere-se que a atuação das redes sociais comunitárias, quando conectada a realidade local e respeitando a autonomia dos agentes sociais engajados, pode contribuir para o atendimento das demandas da comunidade no tocante as suas condições de vida e saúde locais, podendo ser consideradas práticas de Promoção da Saúde...

ABSTRACT

The health area includes the coexistence of different paradigms. In this context, the paradigm of public health contains a broad perspective on health, in which it is conceived as the fruit of the Social Determinants of Health Based on these, it is believed that the community social networks can contribute to the improvement of living conditions and health in local communities. From that constituted the research objective: to analyze the role of community social networks, existing in a community in the municipality of Santa Maria / RS, in the practice of Health Promotion To carry out this research and data analysis was used qualitative method. Data collection was conducted through participant observation, semi-structured interviews and documentary analysis. The content analysis of the data yielded two sets of categories. At first, the categories are related to the history of the present community and the establishment and operation of social networks in this community. The second group are the categories related to notions of health and health promotion in the community, the practices of health promotion at community and local health service in the context of community social networks.
