RESUMO

O cotidiano da clínica nos defronta cada vez mais com impasses diagnósticos impondo uma revisão nos fundamentos teóricos da psicanálise. Psicanalistas se lançam em esforços teóricos buscando constituir um fazer-saber que responda às angústias do homem contemporâneo. Acreditamos que a referência à Alteridade é um diferencial na abordagem clínica, decidindo por um fazer que procure equilibrar a estrutura subjetiva através de suplências, privilegiando a inserção no laço social, ou por um fazer que busque o sentido através da interpretação.

ABSTRACT

Nowadays, the idea of diagnosis in psychoanalysis has become suspicious. As often as not, psychoanalysts relate situations which cannot be classified by traditional psychoanalytical theories and that have, therefore, been overlooked. We would like to make considerations about new ideas that some psychoanalysts have developed in order to understand human suffering. We think that today some people deal with Alterity in a different way than they used to in the past. That point interferes in psychoanalytical treatment in a radical way, making sychoanalysts decide which orientation each particular treatment must have if they will strive for balance and insertion in the social bond or if they are going to work searching for the unconscious meaning through interpretation.
