Implicações do teletrabalho: um estudo sobre a percepção dos trabalhadores de uma região metropolitana / The telework implications: a study about the perception of workers in a metropolitan region

RESUMO

Este estudo buscou identificar, por meio de questionários, as percepções de trabalhadores, convencionais e teletrabalhadores sobre as implicações do teletrabalho, forma de produção não-presencial nas organizações, em uma região metropolitana do estado de São Paulo. A pesquisa indicou que, na perspectiva dos teletrabalhadores, os resultados e a produtividade melhoraram; a avaliação realizada pelo superior e pela família sobre sua condição de trabalho era compreendida como positiva; e, além da satisfação por serem teletrabalhadores, consideravam como boa ou ótima a qualidade de vida pessoal. Por outro lado, os trabalhadores convencionais reconheceram os benefícios do teletrabalho, mas se mostraram pouco interessados em migrar para ele, divergindo também quanto às dificuldades em ser um teletrabalhador e as competências necessárias ao teletrabalho. As implicações psicológicas e sociais consequentes do excesso de carga de trabalho e do isolamento social, mesmo que tais fatores tenham sido reconhecidos por todos os participantes, foram minimizadas pelos praticantes, sugerindo que o teletrabalho poderá revelar consequências ainda não identificadas, inclusive para aqueles que hoje o aprovam.

ABSTRACT

This study searched to indentify the perceptions of workers, conventional and teleworkers, by using questionnaires about the implications of the Telework, a way of production without presence in organizations, in a metropolitan region of São Paulo state. The research indicated that, in teleworkers perspective, results and productivity improved; they understood as positive, the manager and family assessments about their work condition; and considered themselves satisfied being a teleworker and as good / great their work-life balance. On the other hand, conventional workers recognized the benefits of Telework, but were little interested in migrating to it; also disagreeing about the difficulties of being a teleworker and the necessary skills to be one. The psychological and social implications in consequence of excessive work and the social isolation, even that these factors had been recognized by all participants, were minimized by practitioners, suggesting that the Telework might reveal consequences not yet identified, including for those approving it nowadays.
