Objetivo:
Analisar a influência de fatores obstétricos e sociais das parturientes de Uberaba sobre os tipos de parto.Método:
Estudo retrospectivo realizado em Uberaba,MG (1996), no Hospital Escola (HE), com atendimento público, e em dois hospitais privados, sendo um com atendimento misto (público e privado, HA) e o outro só com atendimento privado (HB). Analisou-se a idade materna, estado civil, escolaridade, assistência médica, indicações de cesariana e peso do recém-nascido.Resultados:
Foram estudados 1.897 prontuários, sendo que 1.295 (68,2%) do HE, 508 (26,8%) do HA e 94 (4,9%) do HB. As taxas de cesariana foram de 23,9% no HE, 43,5% no HA e 89,4% no HB. A escolaridade das puérperas foi mais elevada nos hospitais privados. No HE, o número de cesarianas foi maior entre os recém-nascidos com peso > 4.000 gramas e os de baixo peso.Conclusões:
a cesariana é mais frequente nas pacientes com escolaridade maior.ABSTRACT
Objective:
To analyze the influence of obstetric and social factors of the women given birth in Uberaba and types of the delivery.Methods:
A retrospective study was performed in a public university hospital (HE with public attendance) and two hospitals in the private network, HA with mist attendance (private and public), and HB with private attendance. All hospitals in Uberaba, MG. The variables were maternal age, level of education, parity, indication of cesarean and medical assistance and the weight of the newborn.Results:
We analyzed 1,897 medical records, being 1,295 (68.2%) of HE, 508 (26.8%) of HA, and 94 (4.9%) of HB. The cesarean rates were 23.9% in HE, 43.5% in HA and 89.4% in HB. Mothers had attained the tertiary level of education had high cesarean rate. In HB, the rates did not present differences with the newborn weight.Conclusions:
Cesarean section rates was high in parturient with a high socioeconomic level.
