RESUMEN
En esta oportunidad, los editores de la revista presentan el caso clínico de una paciente de sexo femenino, adulta joven, obesa, a quien en el estudio prequirúrgico de una cirugía bariátrica, se le realiza una tomografía axial computarizada, con hallazgo de una lesión quística del páncreas de 18 mm de diámetro. El caso se presenta con el objetivo del estudio del tema, basado en responder algunas de las preguntas que más frecuentemente nos planteamos cuando tenemos hallazgos de lesiones incidentales quísticas en páncreas.
ABSTRACT
The editors of this review have taken this opportunity to present a clinical case history of an obese young adult female patient who was found to have an 18mm in diameter pancreatic cyst. Prior to performance of bariatric surgery a CAT scan was performed which revealed the existence of the cyst. This case is being presented in order to answer some of the most frequently asked questions which arise when a pancreatic cyst is found incidentally.
