RESUMO
O objetivo deste estudo foi traçar o perfil epidemiológico dos portadores do vírus da imunodeficiência humana e síndrome de imunodeficiência adquirida (SIDA/AIDS) atendidos no Programa Municipal de doenças sexualmente transmissíveis/SIDA-AIDS em Diamantina/MG, de 1995 a 2008, referência do Alto Vale do Jequitinhonha. O método utilizado foi retrospectivo descritivo e exploratório, por meio de análise de prontuários dos 65 pacientes cadastrados, sendo que 58,5% (n=38) eram mulheres, 63,1%(n=41) moravam na zona urbana e 43,1% (n=28) eram solteiros. A ocupação principal das mulheres e dos homens de 50 (n=19) e 66,6% (n=18) como dona de casa e atividade manual, respectivamente. A atividade sexual era mantida por 87,7% (n=57) dos pacientes, sendo que 52,3% (n=34) deles possuíam parceiro fixo, e 83,1% (n=54) eram heterossexuais.Antes do diagnóstico, 66,2% (n=43) nunca usaram preservativo e 76,9% (n=50) nunca fizeram uso de drogas injetáveis. Constituem traços da infecção no Alto Jequitinhonha a interiorização, heterossexualização, feminização e pauperização.
ABSTRACT
This study aimed at determining the epidemiological profile of patients with human immunodeficiency virus and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) treated by the Municipal Program of Sexual Transmitted Disease/AIDS in Diamantina, Minas Gerais, from1995 to 2008, reference of the Alto Vale do Jequitinhonha. A retrospective descriptive and exploratory method was used, analyzing the medical records of 65 registered patients in which 58.5% (n=38) were women and 63.1% (n=41) were living in urban areas and 431% (n=28) were single. The main occupation of women 50 (n=19) and men, 66.6% (n=18) was as a housewife and handcraft, respectively. From the total, 87.7% (n=57) of the patients manteined sexual activity, 52.3% (n=34) had a steady partner, and 83.1% (n=54)were heterosexual. Before diagnosed, 66.2% (n=43) had never used condoms and 76.9%(n=50) had never used injected drugs. Internalization, heterosexuals and feminization and pauperization represent traces of infection in Alto Jequitinhonha.
