Fatores associados ao interesse do cirurgião-dentista na docência para a formação do técnico em saúde bucal (TSB) / Factors associated withinterest of dental surgeon in the teaching of dental hygienist technician

RESUMO

Verificou-se os fatores associados ao interesse na docência do cirurgião-dentista atuante no Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), para a formação de Técnicos em Saúde Bucal na Região Metropolitana da Grande Vitória (RMGV-ES). Um estudo seccional com amostra representativa de 217 CDs atuantes no SUS da RMGV-ES foi desenvolvido, pela aplicação de formulário objetivo com questões sobre identificação pessoal, formação, trajetória e qualificação profissional e práticas de ensino e pesquisa. Os dados foram processados e submetidos aos testes de qui-quadrado. Verificou-se que os fatores associados positivamente ao interesse na docência são: a atuação profissional nos municípios de Vila Velha, Vitória e Viana (p=0,032), a idade do profissional inferior a 45 anos (p=0,015), a especialização nas áreas de Saúde Pública e/ou Educação (p=0,035), experiência prévia ou atual de exercício da prática docente em sala de aula (p<0,001) e em campo de estágios (p=0,050) e a experiência em pesquisa (p=0,001). Já a especialização nas áreas de Clínica Odontológica estabeleceu uma associação não favorável ao interesse na docência (p=0,038). A partir dos resultados, entendeu-se o contexto que cerca o interesse dos cirurgiões-dentistas na formação de Técnicos em Saúde Bucal. A verificação desses fatores permite a compreensão das dificuldades que permeiam formação de recursos humanos em saúde bucal coletiva, no nível técnico, para o trabalho em equipe no SUS.

ABSTRACT

This study aims to verify the factors associated to the teaching interest of the dentist active on the Public Health System, for the Dental Hygienist Technician formation, on the Metropolitan Region of the Grande Vitória (MRGV). Cross-secctional study with amostral representative of 217 dentists that work in Public Health System in RMGV-ES was conducted through structured interviews. Questions about: personal identification, formation, trajectory, qualification professional and researcher and teacher activities was collected. The data were statistically processed and submitted to chi-square tests. It was verified that the factors positively associated to the teaching interest are: the professional performance on the Vila Velha, Vitória and Viana (p=0.032), the professional age less then 45 years (p=0.050), the specialization on the Public Health and/or Education areas (p=0.035), prior or current experience of exercise of the teaching practice in classroom (p<0.001) and in stage fields (p=0.050), the experience in search (p=0.001). Whereas the specialization on the Odontological Clinic areas established a negative association with the teaching interest (p=0.038). From the results, we could understand the context sorrounding the interest of the dentists on the Dental Hygienist Technician formation. The verification of these factors allow the comprehension of the difficulties that permeate formation of human resources in coletive buccal health, on the technical level, for the team work on the Sistema Único de Saúde.
