RESUMO
Esse artigo buscou analisar como os fenômenos mentoria e redes sociais, em conjunto, influenciam no desenvolvimento de executivos. A pesquisa é de base qualitativa e usou como metodologia a história de vida oral. Foi realizada através da rede de mentores de um executivo de uma empresa do segmento de transportes, com atuação nacional e internacional. Foram utilizadas a análise de conteúdo e o software UCINET 6, para dar suporte à construção das redes sociais. Os resultados indicam que a rede de mentores ajuda no desenvolvimento dos profissionais mentorados, dando suporte tanto em aspectos relacionados à carreira, quanto psicossociais, o que causa um diferencial na vida desses executivos. De um modo geral, o estudo contribuiu para um melhor entendimento dos fenômenos mentoria e rede social na realidade brasileira.
ABSTRACT
The objective of this paper was to analyze how mentoring and social network phenomenon influences the executive development. The research was based in a qualitative perspective and used as methodology the oral life history. It was based in an executive's networking who is a partner and president of a transportation company with national and international actuation. The data analysis technique used was the content analysis and the UCINET 6 software was used to support the networking construction. The current study has concluded that the mentor networking has a positive influence in professional and personal executives development. In general, this study contributed to understand better the mentoring and networking relationships phenomenon in the Brazilian reality.
