Estudo-síntese: interfaces da análise de rede social com o campo da saúde mental. / Study summary: interfaces of the analysis of the social networks in mental health.

RESUMO

O objetivo do estudo foi evidenciar interfaces da análise de redes sociais com o campo temático da saúde mental; assinalar aspectos dessa interface que disponham de colaboração possível e existente entre campos, teorias e pesquisadores. O estudo tomou corpo com base em descritores em português, espanhol e inglês, aplicados às bases de dados: "SciELO", " MEDLINE" e "LILACS". Capturaram-se todas as publicações entre 1976 e 2009. Foram identificados 151 títulos, predominando publicações fora do país (107). Constatou-se variedade de situações-problema em que o referencial da saúde mental associa-se ao de redes sociais, não seguindo linha única que permita falar de tendências. No Brasil, observa-se predomínio de estudos quantitativos, explorando instrumentos com respostas do tipo likert. A ênfase está posta na família como suporte social dentro da política de saúde mental. O número de publicações fora do país, mesmo incipiente, informa uma importância científica dada à interlocução sistemática entre o campo da saúde mental e o de rede social. A tradução/adaptação de instrumentos quantitativos para a realidade do Brasil guarda relação com o crescente número de publicações nessa interface. Concorda-se com a maioria dos pesquisadores quando se conclui acerca da necessidade de se tomarem as redes sociais como um dos principais alvos das intervenções.

ABSTRACT

This study aims to highlight the interfaces between the analysis of social network and the thematic area of the mental health and to emphasize the aspects of these interfaces that present existent and possible collaboration between areas, theories and researchers. The study was developed based on descriptors in Portuguese, Spanish and English in ?SciELO?, ?MEDLINE? and ?LILACS? databases. All the publications with dates between 1976 and 2009 were considered. We identified 151 titles, predominantly publications from other countries (107). It was found a variety of problem situations in which the reference of mental health is associated with the reference of social network, not following a one way line that allows speaking of trends. In Brazil, there is a predominance of quantitative studies exploring instruments with likert type responses. The emphasis is placed on family as a social support within the mental health policy. The number of publications from other countries, even incipient, reports a scientific importance given to systematic dialogue between the of mental health and social network. The translation/adaptation of quantitative tools to Brazil?s reality is related to the increasing number of publications about this interface. We agree with most researchers when we conclude about the need to consider social network as one of the main targets of interventions.
