Análise da utilização do SIAB por quatro equipes da estratégia saúde da família do município de Ribeirão Preto, SP. / Analysis of the use of SIAB (basic health care information system)by four family health teams in Ribeirão Preto city.

RESUMO

Objetivou-se analisar a utilização do SIAB por quatro equipes da ESF no município de Ribeirão Preto, SP. A pesquisa é de cunho qualitativo. Como instrumento de coleta de dados, utilizamos a entrevista semiestruturada com questões relativas à finalidade do SIAB, à situação em que é utilizado, ao conhecimento que a equipe tem sobre ele e à alimentação do banco de dados. Utilizou-se análise temática. A partir da análise, estruturaram-se os temas SIAB como instrumento do trabalho; SIAB como fonte de registro de dados; contradições na utilização do SIAB e sugestões. Concluímos que os profissionais compreendem a finalidade do SIAB, no entanto, sua utilização parece limitada ao registro, não sendo utilizado como instrumento gerencial para planejamento e avaliação de ações de promoção, prevenção e reabilitação em saúde nas equipes estudadas.

ABSTRACT

This study aimed to analyze the use of the Sistema de Informação da Atenção Básica (SIAB ? in Portuguese) by four family health teams in Ribeirão Preto city, São Paulo, Brazil. This is a qualitative study. As data collection instrument, we used semi-structured interviews, with questions about the purpose of the SIAB, situations in which it is used, knowledge of the team about it and the database update. A thematic data analysis was performed, and the themes were structured as follows SIAB as a work tool for the team; SIAB as a source of data records; contradictions in the use of SIAB; and suggestions. We concluded that the family health team understands the purpose of the SIAB, however, its use seems limited to recording, as it has not been used as a management tool for planning and evaluation of health promotion, prevention and rehabilitation actions by the studied teams.
