Tuberculose e gravidez: mitos e verdades / Tuberculosis and pregnancy: myths and truths

RESUMO

Objetivo: Com base no exposto e considerando que estudos a respeito do tema em pauta: verdades e mitos envolvendo a tuberculose e gravidez são raros, objetiva-se com o presente estudo elucidar a questão a partir das incertezas que afligem os estudantes de medicina e que poderiam refletir como paraefeitos no binômio, frente à quimioterapia antituberculose a curto e longo prazo. Material e métodos: Simples, oportuno e atual, sobre um tema bastante polêmico no âmbito da tisiologia clínica: "tuberculose e gravidez", a pesquisa trata de um estudo observacional descritivo do tipo série de casos, no qual os autores analisaram dez prontuários de pacientes atendidos no interregno de 2000 a 2009 no Complexo Hospitalar Clementino Fraga (CHCF). Resultados: Após análise dos dez prontuários não foram observados efeitos teratogênicos nos conceptos de mães tratadas portuberculose com esquema preconizado. Conclusão: O esquema preconizado para o tratamento da tuberculose mostrou-se seguro e eficaz para terapêutica materna sem produzir efeitos colaterais para a genitora e, da mesma forma, sem produzir teratogenicidade para o concepto.

ABSTRACT

Objective: On the basis of the displayed one and considering that studies regarding the subject in guideline: truths and myths involving the tuberculosis and pregnancy are rare, objective with the present study to elucidate this question from the uncertainties that afflict medical students and that they could reflect as for effect in the binomial front to thechemotherapy antituberculosis the short and long stated period. Material and methods: Simple, opportune and current on a sufficiently controversial subject in the scope of the clinical tisiology: "tuberculosis and pregnancy", this research is about a descriptive observational study of the type series of cases in which the authors had analyzed ten handbooks of patients taken care of in period of 2000 to the 2009 in the Hospital Complex Clementino Fraga (CHCF). Results: After analysis of the ten charts, no teratogenic effects were observed in concepts of mothers treated for tuberculosis with regimen recommended. Conclusion: The regimen recommended for treatment of tuberculosis was found to be safe and effective for maternal treatment without producing side effects for mothers' and, likewise, without producing teratogenicity to the concept.
