Tomografia computadorizada cone beam e síndrome endo-antral: caso clínico / Cone-beom tomography ond endo-ontral syndrome: case report

RESUMO

A comunicação patológica entre a região periapical endodonticamente comprometida e os.tecidos do seio maxilar podem desencadear um quadro de difícil resolução descrito na literatura,, icomo Síndrome Endo-Antral (SEA). O objetivo desse relato de caso clínico é apresentar uma solução conservadora para o tratamento da SEA. No caso em questão, o retratamento endo¬dôntico foi capaz de restabelecer a saúde sinusal e a tomografia computadorizada cone beam (TCC8) mostrou ser uma ferramenta adicional relevante durante o diagnóstico, conduta clínicae proservação de estruturas anatômicas adjacentes.

ABSTRACT

The pathological disruption of both periapical and adjacent maxillary sinus tissues resultingfrom endodontic infection has been well documented as Endo-Antral Syndrome (EAS) and this framework might presents difficulties concerning effective healing. The purpose of this clinical article is to report a conserva tive endodontic approach for the management of the EAS. In this specific case, the endodontic retreatment reestablished the sinus health and the application of cone-beam technology improved the diagnosis, decision-making therapy and outcome for adjacent anatomical structures.
