Este texto tem como objetivo identificar padrões de política de cuidadosna velhice em Portugal e em alguns países europeus. Tenta construir padrões nessa áreada política, a partir de modelos de Estado providência, já testados anteriormente. Situanessas estruturações a importância das orientações recentes da União Europeia.

This paper aims to identify patterns of care in old age policy in Portugaland some European countries. Attempts to build standards in this area of policy fromthe welfare state models have been tested previously. Reveals the importance ofstructuring these recent guidelines in the European Union.
