RESUMO
O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar uma crítica aos 'programas para a terceira idade' que visam a ocupação do 'tempo livre' com atividades de lazer e recreação com base na crítica aos fundamentos teóricos e ideológicos do lazer e do 'tempo livre' que os fundamentam e de onde emanam as potencialidades no trabalho social com idosos.
ABSTRACT
The objective of this article is to present a critical analysis of the programs for the third age that seek to occupy the free time with leisure and recreation activities. The starting point is the criticism to the theoretical and ideological foundations of leisure and free time that are both the bases of these programs and the sources of potentialities in the social work with aged people.
