RESUMEN

La odontología define a la prótesis parcial removible como aquel medio que restituye alguna pieza dental a fin de restaurar la función masticatoria y la estética facial del ser humano y que puede ser retirada sin gran esfuerzo por el usuario. Estos aditamentos se designan de este modo porque su uso no se interrumpe en algunos momentos del día; la condición de removible ilustra la no necesaria asistencia del profesional para su retiro. Este artificio colocado en la boca del niño, constituye en sí, un mantenedor de espacio funcional que debe ser confeccionado cuando la pérdida de dientes temporales sucede en una época temprana y los gérmenes de los permanentes se encuentran en los estadíos anteriores al 7 u 8 de la clasificación de la Dra.
