RESUMEN
El carcinoma escamoso de pelvis renal es infrecuente, representa aproximadamente el 10 % de todos los tumores piélicos. Frecuentemente se asocia con litiasis o infección renal crónica. Se suele diagnosticar en estadios avanzados de la enfermedad por dolor o masa palpable. Caso clínico: se presenta el caso de carcinoma de células escamosas de pelvis renal de diagnóstico incidental, asociado a uropatía obstructiva litiásica, sepsis urinaria, y pérdida de peso de un paciente de 65 años, con antecedentes de dolores (cólicos de larga fecha de evolución), el cual ha sido tratado en varias ocasiones por cuerpo de guardia y el médico de familia con diagnóstico de litiasis renal derecha.
ABSTRACT
Squamous cell carcinoma of renal pelvis is uncommon; it represents approximately the ten percent of all pyelic tumors. It is often associate with lithiasis or chronic renal infection. Clinical case: an incidental case of squamous cell carcinoma of renal pelvis is presented, associate to lithiasic obstructive uropathy, urinary sepsis, and weight loss. The prognosis of patients with genitourinary squamous cell carcinoma in advanced stage is poor. Conclusions: a squamous carcinoma of renal cells with local invasion, clinically unsuspected was diagnostic, which results unfavourable when evaluating the patient survival.
