RESUMO

O objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar o preenchimento e a concordância entre duas fontes de informações sobre nascimentos SINASC, 1999 e inquérito realizado pela Secretaria Municipalde Saúde em 2000 - Avaliação da Qualidade da Assistência em Maternidades de Belo Horizonte - QUALIMAT. Os bancos de dados foram relacionados, totalizando 642 informações.Foram analisados o percentual de informações ignoradas e o grau de concordância de algumas variáveis. A análise de concordância foi feita por meio da estatística Kappa e coeficiente de correlação de Kendall (t-b). As variáveis do SINASC apresentaram percentual de informaçõesignoradas abaixo de 5% e as do QUALIMAT em torno de 10%, com exceção do campo Idade Gestacional (20,6%). O grau de concordância entre as duas fontes de dados foi maior que 70% para a maioria das variáveis e a confiabilidade das informações dos indicadores baixo peso,prematuridade e asfixia foi considerada excelente. A qualidade das informações das duas fontes foi considerada boa. O bom índice de concordância entre as informações dos dois bancosmostra uma boa reprodutibilidade, respaldando o uso do SINASC como principal fonte de informações sobre nascimentos em Belo Horizonte.

ABSTRACT

This study aimed to assess the completeness and agreement between two sources of information on births Information System on Live Birth Database ? SINASC, 1999 and survey carried out by the Municipal Health Department in 2000 ? Evaluation of Quality of Care in Maternity Hospital of Belo Horizonte ? QUALIMAT. The databases were linked, totaling 642information. We analyzed the percentage of unknown information and the degree of agreement of some variables. Concordance analysis was performed using the Kappa statistic and Kendall tau rank correlation coefficient (tb). SINASC variables presented percentage of unknowninformation below 5% and Qualimat around 10%, with the exception of gestational age (20.6%). The degree of agreement between the two data sources was above 70% for most variables and the information reliability of the indicators low birth weight, prematurity, and asphyxia was considered excellent. The quality of information from two sources was considered good. The good level of agreement between the two databases information shows a good reproducibility, supporting the use of SINASC as the main source of information on births in Belo Horizonte.
