RESUMEN

Hace más de un año la educación médica cubana se incorporó activamente a la batalla de ideas que viene desarrollando todo nuestro pueblo, y que sin lugar a dudas ha posibilitado el fortalecimiento y la unidad consciente de nuestro profesorado y estudiantado hacia el incremento de la calidad de los recursos humanos en salud y, mediante esto, contribuir al mejoramiento continuo de la calidad de los servicios y de la satisfacción de la población. Este período de reflexión nos hizo recordar que el 11 de junio de 1982, en las conclusiones del Cláustro Extraordinario de Profesores del Instituto Superior de Ciencias Médicas de La Habana, el Comandante en jefe Fidel Castro Ruz nos convocó a hacer una revolución en la educación médica, y señalaba "De manera que podamos tener una docencia de primerísima línea. Si queremos ser potencia médica tenemos que ser una potencia en la docencia médica y en la superación de los profesores, del estudio....."

ABSTRACT

More than one year ago the Cuban medical education joined actively to the battle of ideas that has developing all our village, and that undoubtedly has made possible the strengthening and the conscious unit of our professorship and students towards the increase of the quality of the human resources in health and, by means of this, to contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality of the services and of the satisfaction of the population. This reflection period made us remember that on June 11, 1982, in the conclusions of Teachers' Cláustro Extraordinario of the Top Institute of Medical sciences of Havana, the Commander in chief Fidel Castro Ruz summoned to doing a revolution to us in the medical education, and it was indicating "So that we could have a teaching of primerísima line. If we want to be a medical potency we have to be a potency in the medical teaching and in the overcoming of the teachers, of the study....."
