RESUMEN

En este artículo se presenta una semblanza de Juan Padrón Galíndez, farmacéutico venezolano, fundador del actual Departamento de Microbiología del Instituto Nacional de Higiene y de la Cátedra de Microbiología de la Facultad de Farmacia de la Universidad Central de Venezuela, resaltando diferentes rasgos de su personalidad y sus destacadas actuaciones en el campo profesional y musical.

ABSTRACT

This paper presents a brief biography of Juan Padrón Galíndez, Venezuelan pharmacist, founder of the current Department of Microbiology of the Instituto Nacional de Higiene and the Chair of Microbiology, Facultad de Farmacia of the Universidad Central de Venezuela, highlighting various features of his personality and his outstanding performances related with his profession and with the music.
