Objetivo:
Describir los factores que influyen en la adherencia a tratamientos farmacológicos y no farmacológicos en pacientes hipertensos. COOMEVA. Sincelejo. 2006 Materiales ymétodos:
Estudio descriptivo-cuantitativo de corte transversal, la muestra estuvo conformada por 276 pacientes, obtenida a través de un muestreo aleatorio simple, de los cuales el 68% correspondió al sexo femenino y el 32% al masculino; el rango de edad osciló entre 35 y 106 años. La información se obtuvo a partir de un instrumento validado y se procesó en el programa estadístico SPSS.Resultados:
El promedio de edad de los participantes fue de 61.5 años. El 98 % de los participantes se encuentran sin riesgo de no adherencia. Como factores relevantes se encontró que el 95% manifestó contar con el apoyo familiar para cumplir con el tratamiento, el 98% de los participantes siempre han tenido conocimiento respecto a las citas de control y expresaron que el tratamiento ha sido beneficioso. Un 52% manifestó que padecer de Hipertensión Arterial le genera preocupación y angustia por los cambios que tienen que hacer en su vida diaria.Conclusiones:
Los resultados reflejan un grupo comprometido con el cuidado de su salud y un sistema de atención que promueve en los pacientes comportamientos positivos que favorecen la adherencia terapéutica. Sin embargo, se hace necesario fortalecer en el 52% de los participantes, las estrategias de afrontamiento de la enfermedad que permita un mejor control de los estados de angustia identificados.ABSTRACT

Descriptive-quantitative transversal study. The sample was composed of 276 patients between the ages of 35 and 106 years old, 68% masculine and 32% feminine, whom were chosen through a simple random sampling. The information was obtained through a validated instrument and processed by SPSS software.Results:
The average age was 61.5 years old. 98% of the participants have no risk factors for adherence problem. Within the factors that influence over treatment adherence, 95% of the patients manifest to have family support in order to complete the treatment, 98% have always had knowledge about their follow up appointments and think that the treatment has been beneficial. 52% of the patients express that having Arterial Hypertension worries them and generates distress because of the changes they must make in their daily life.Conclusions:
The therapeutic adherence found in the study reflects that the patients are committed to their health care and attentive pleasant behavior from the health personnel motivates adherence to treatment. However, the study reports that 52% of the patients need strengthening strategies in assuming their disease in order to not be affected emotionally by it.
