Aleitamento materno: uma abordagem sobre o papel do enfermeiro no preparo de mães adolescentes / Maternal lactation: an approach upon the nurse role in preparing of adolescent mothers

RESUMO

Introdução - O aleitamento materno deve ser visto como prática indispensável para a melhoria da saúde e qualidade de vida das mães e crianças. O objetivo deste estudo foi de verificar se as recomendações dadas pelos enfermeiros de uma Maternidade Pública em Goiânia, tem tido como reflexo o aleitamento materno exclusivo até o 6º mês. E, a partir daí, identificar e relacionar possíveis diagnósticos de enfermagem segundo a classificação da North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA) que levaram ao desmame precoce. Materiais e Métodos - Trata-se de um estudo descritivo com uma abordagem qualitativa. Para a coleta de dados as participantes responderam primeiramente a entrevistas individuais por meio de um questionário especifico e, posteriormente, a um questionário socioeconômico. Resultados e Conclusão - Os resultados mostraram que a maioria das mães receberam orientações durante o pré-natal, grande parte não encontraram dificuldades na amamentação, porém boa parte dos lactentes não recebeu amamentação exclusiva devido a fatores emocionais ligados à mãe.

ABSTRACT

Introduction - Maternal lactation must be seen as an indispensable practice for the improvement of health and quality of life of both mothers and children. The goal of this study will be that one of verifying if the recommendations given by the nurses at Maternity Public of Goiânia, have got as a reflex from exclusive maternal lactation up to sixth month of life. And, from there on, to identify and acquaint the possible nursing diagnostics according to NANDA´s classification, that had led suckling babies to the precocious weaning. Materials and Methods - It treats of a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. For the collect of data, the participants answered firstly some individual interviews by means of one specific questionnaire, and later a social and economical one. Results and Conclusion - The results showed that the majority of mothers received orientations during the prenatal. The great part of them had no difficulty in lactation; however, a good deal of the suckling babies did not receive exclusive lactation due to emotional factors linked to their mothers.
