Alteraciones hepáticas relacionadas al embarazo / Liver alterations related to pregnancy

RESUMEN

Durante el embarazo el organismo de la mujer sufre diferentes cambios fisiológicos, y entre ellos está la función hepática; sin embargo, el desarrollo de alteraciones hepáticas en el embarazo es raro, pero cuando se presenta conllevan problemas para la madre y el niño. Estas alteraciones pueden ser hepatopatías propias del embarazo, enfermedades hepatobiliares intercurrentes con el embarazo, y embarazadas con hepatopatías previas. Por lo que el objetivo de la presente revisión, es actualizar nuestros conocimientos acerca de estas patologías.

ABSTRACT

During pregnancy women’s body suffers different physiological changes, for example the hepatic function; however, the development of hepatic alterations during pregnancy is rare, but when these appear, they represent problems for the mother and the product. These alterations are hepatic diseases characteristics of pregnancy, hepatobiliary diseases ocurring during pregnancy and pregnancy with preexisting hepatic diseases. The objective of this article is to update our knowledge about these pathologies.
