RESUMO
Objetivos:
Descrever e analisar as repercussões do acidente vascular encefálico (AVE) na qualidade de vida das mulheres.Métodos:
Tratou-se de uma pesquisa de metodologia qualitativa. Participaram, deste estudo, mulheres com hemiparesia, com idade entre 20 e 59 anos, com tempo médio de ocorrência do AVE de 12 a 18 meses e que recebem atendimento reabilitacional.Resultados:
Observaram-se mudanças de atitudes nas mulheres perante a vida e as pessoas, advindas do redimensionamento de valores, além da crença de que o AVE possibilitou um novo olhar sobre a qualidade de vida. Identificou-se o caráter multidimensional dos fenômenos estudados, referenciando-se que a presença de doenças, deficiências e incapacidades, não necessariamente conduzam a uma qualidade de vida baixa.Conclusões:
Para as mulheres, a qualidade de vida está relacionada a todos os aspectos da vida que devem ser traduzidos no princípio do acesso à cidadania.ABSTRACT
Objectives:
To describe and analyze the impact of stroke on quality of life of women.Methods:
This was a qualitative research methodology. Participants were women with hemiparesis, aged between 20 and 59 years, with an average time of occurrence of the stroke of 12 to 18 months and who receive rehabilitation care.Results:
It was observed changes in attitudes among women towards life and people, resulting from the scaling of values. Besides, the stroke allowed a fresh look at the quality of life. It was identified the multidimensional nature of the phenomena studied, referring to the presence of diseases, deficiencies and disabilities do not necessarily lead to a lower quality of life.Conclusions:
For women, the quality of life is related to all aspects of life that should be reflected in the principle of access to citizenship.
