Trabalho em saúde e trabalho médico: especificidades e convergências / Work in health and medical work: specificities and convergences

RESUMO

Este ensaio apresenta um contraponto entre o trabalho em saúde e o trabalho médico a partir das relações existentes entre o conhecimento e a prática. Assume que a problemática da saúde diz respeito às relações entre a natureza e a cultura. Reconhece que a introdução das ciências humanas no campo da saúde relativizou o discurso biológico e que a marca desse campo é a multidisciplinaridade. Identifica o estilo de pensamento biomédico como o principal responsável pelas especificidades do agir médico. Analisa e critica o impacto da tecnologia sobre a prática médica. Sugere que as propostas de mudança na educação médica, ao incorporarem as premissas humanizantes trazidas pelo campo da Saúde Coletiva, funcionariam como pontos de convergência com o trabalho em saúde e poderiam concorrer para a transformação do trabalho médico.

ABSTRACT

This essay presents a counter-argument between work in health and medical work having as starting point the existent relationships between knowledge and practice. It presupposes that the health problematic regarding the relationships between nature and culture. It recognizes that the introduction of human sciences in the health field relativized the biological discourse and the benchmark in this field is interdisciplinary. It identifies the biomedical thought style as the main component for the specificities on how the medics act. It analyzes and criticizes the technological impact on the medical practice. It suggest that the change proposals in medical education when incorporating the humanizing premises brought by the Collective Health field worked as convergent points with the health work and could contribute to the medical work transformation.
