RESUMO
Objetivo:
Apresentar a utilização de mobilizações articulares no tratamento de uma paciente politraumatizada em fase aguda submetida à imobilização gessada por um mês após cirurgia para colocação de material de osteossíntese. Material eMétodos:
A paciente foi submetida a 15 sessões de fisioterapia, realizadas duas vezes por semana, por meio da termoterapia, alongamentos, fortalecimento muscular, mobilizações articulares e crioterapia ao fim da sessão.Resultados:
Após o término das sessões, a paciente apresentou diminuição da intensidade da dor e na análise das medidas goniométricas apresentou diferença clinicamente significante que a permitiu voltar às suas atividades funcionais.Conclusão:
Nas condições deste estudo, constatou-se, após análise dos resultados, a eficiência do protocolo de tratamento proposto.ABSTRACT
Objective:
It is presented the use of joint mobilization for the treatment of a patient with multiple traumas in acute phase who underwent immobilization for a month after surgery for placement of osteosynthesis material. The patient underwent 15 physiotherapy sessions, twice a week, through thermotherapy, stretching, strengthening exercises, joint mobilizations and cryotherapy at the end of the session.Results:
After completion of the sessions, the patient had a decrease in pain intensity and showed a clinical significant difference which allowed her to return to her functional activities.Conclusion:
After data analysis, we found in this study the efficiency of the proposed treatment protocol.
