RESUMO

A promoção de saúde é considerada, atualmente, ao mesmo tempo nívelprimário de atenção em saúde e paradigma re-estruturante da intervençãoem saúde. Sendo este o princípio que rege as práticas na rede substitutiva desaúde mental, a Ofi cina de Estimulação Infantil, constituída por um grupode crianças e adolescentes participantes e coordenada por equipe interdisciplinarem um Centro de Convivência e Cooperativa (CECCO) - equipamentoda rede mencionada do município de São Paulo - teve como objetivo principala promoção de saúde infantil entre os seus participantes. Utilizando-se domanejo de recursos lúdicos e fomento ao brincar espontâneo como estratégiaspara a promoção de saúde, a Ofi cina é abordada, neste artigo, através dosaspectos teóricos que a fundamentaram. Apresenta-se o conceito de promoçãode saúde, o CECCO e seu compromisso com esta, especificamente com apromoção de saúde infantil. Aborda-se os preceitos da promoção de saúde infantil, sua relação com o brincar e com o lúdico, ligando-os aos objetivos eresultados observados na Ofi cina. Concluindo, é colocada a importância daexperiência de extensão universitária, como foi o caso da participação dasalunas- autoras nesta Ofi cina por dois anos, como bolsistas do Programa deEducação Tutorial (PET).

ABSTRACT

Currently, health promotion is considered, at the same time, as both theprimary focus of health care and as the re-structuring paradigm of health intervention.This is the principle that rules the mental health substitutive networkpractices. The Infant Stimulation Workshop, consisting of a group of childrenand adolescents participants, and coordinated by an interdisciplinary teamin a “Cooperation and Cohabitation Center” (CECCO) – a facility of the healthservice in the city of São Paulo – whose principal objective was infant healthpromotion among its participants. Through the handling of ludic resourcesand enticement of the spontaneous playing as strategies to promote health,the Workshop is approached, in this article, through the theoretical aspectson which it is based. The health promotion concept is presented, as well asCECCO and its commitment with this concept, more specifi cally with infanthealth. The precepts of the infant health promotion are approached, as well astheir relation with playing and fun, linking them with the objectives and resultsseen in the Workshop. Concluding, the importance of the universitary extensionis highlighted, as was the case of the participation of these two students/authors in this Workshop, over a two year period, as scholarship recipients ofthe Tutorial Education Program (PET 1).
