Identidade de professor: uma pesquisa fundamentada na psicologia analítica / Teacher’s identity: research based on analytical psychology

RESUMO

Este estudo, fundamentado na psicologia analítica de Carl Gustav Jung, trata da identidade de professor e de suas raízes profundas na personalidade. Realiza considerações teóricas de Jung e de Byington sobre a relação entre a psicologia analítica, a educação e sua relação com o desenvolvimento da identidade do profissional docente. Pretende, com isto, esclarecer ao leitor alguns dos fundamentos básicos que a psicologia analítica utiliza para compreender a identidade do professor e seus fundamentos na personalidade. Partindo de uma experiência com alunos que cursam licenciatura em educação artística, analisa a verbalização e a construção imagética realizada por cada aluno do seu professor. Finalmente relaciona as proposições verbais e imagéticas dos participantes. Discute os elementos retirados desta experiência à luz da teoria da psicologia analítica e de autores da área da educação, tecendo reflexões sobre a identidade de professor.

ABSTRACT

This paper, based on junguian psychology, studies the teacher’s identity and its deeps roots in his personality. It describes Jung’s and Byington´s theoretical considerations of the relation between analytical psychology and education, and its relation to the development of the teacher’s identity. The goal is to enlighten the reader on some of the basic foundations that analytical psychology uses to understand a teacher’s identity and its roots in his personality. Based on an experiment with students studying to become art teachers, it analyzes the verbal and imagery constructs that the students have of their teacher. Finally, it relates the verbalizations and imagery of the participants. It discusses the elements taken from this experiment according to analytical psychology and education authors, weaving reflections about the teacher’s identity.
