Diver-cidade: a pichação na metrópole / Diver-city: graffiti in the metropolis

RESUMO

O presente artigo inscreve-se em um debate acerca da diversidade presente nos fenômenos urbanos contemporâneos. Especificamente, debruça-se sobre as pichações, notoriamente presentes na cidade de São Paulo. Compreende-se a cidade à luz das concepções teóricas da psicologia analítica de Carl Jung e da psicologia arquetípica de James Hillman, sobretudo em suas ideias de alma e de anima mundi. Conclui-se que a pichação é expressão do patologizar da metrópole, ou sua alma in extremis

ABSTRACT

The present article is a debate on the multiplicity observed in the urban phenomena of contemporary metropolis. It specifically concentrates on graffiti art (pichação), notoriously abundant in the city of São Paulo, starting out from the theoretical basis of Carl Jung's analytical psychology and James Hillman's archetypal psychology. The city is comprehended through the idea of the anima mundi. It concludes that graffiti (pichação) is a manifestation of the pathologizing act and from the soul in extremis
