Utilización de injerto de tejido conectivo sub-epitelial en implantología oral: reporte de caso / Subephitelial connective tissue graft usage in implant dentistry: case report

RESUMEN

La implantología bucal supone una serie conceptos y procedimientos con el fin de restaurar y limitar el daño en las estructuras dentarias; sin embargo, existen situaciones en las cuales es necesario incluír otras alternativas provenientes de diversas disciplinas odontológicas con el objetivo de proveer la mejor solución funcional y estética al paciente. El presente artículo describe un reporte de caso de un paciente que consulta por tratamiento de rehabilitación bucal con implantes en donde es necesario la realización de un injerto de tejido conectivo subepitelial con el fin de aumentar el grosor del tejido queratinizado y consecuentemente la longevidad clínica del implante. Una vez aplicada la técnica y dado el período post-operatorio de seguimiento es evidente el aumento del tejido queratinizado el cual provee un soporte peri-implantar adecuado conllevando a una mejoría en la función y posterior prevención de complicaciones poco deseables como recesiones gingivales. Sin duda alguna, las ventajas operativas del procedimiento son notables y también la mejoría de la funcionalidad de los tejidos gingivales periimplantares

ABSTRACT

Oral implantology is a series concepts and procedures in order to restore and limit damage to tooth structure, nonetheless there are situations where it is necessary to include other alternatives from various dental disciplines with the aim of providing the best functional solution and aesthetics to the patient. This article describes a case report of a patient who consulted for treatment of oral rehabilitation with implants where it is necessary the performance of a subepithelial connective tissue graft in order to increase the thickness of keratinized tissue and consequently achieve the longevity of the implant clinic. Once applied the technique and given the post-operative follow-up is clearly an increased keratinized tissue which provides support adequate peri-implant tissues, leading to an improvement in function and subsequent prevention of undesirable outcomes such as gingival recession. Undoubtedly, the operational benefits of the procedure are significant and the functional improvements of the periimplantar gingival tissues
