Empreendedorismo e liderança: perspectivas e desafios atuais / Entrepreneurship and leadership: perspectives and current challenges

RESUMO

Trata-se de um passeio por diferentes perspectivas de estudos e pesquisas sobre liderança e empreendedorismo. O texto traça, sucintamente, os principais caminhos seguidos por pesquisadores de realidades culturais diversas com suas contribuições para compreensão do tema. Entre tais contribuições, encontram-se assuntos pouco explorados como as virtudes e a virtuosidade organizacional, antes ausentes na literatura sobre gestão e comportamento organizacional, também negligenciados na academia e nas empresas; o suporte para a discussão sobre a teoria do empreendedorismo, sua base empírica e suas implicações, assim como a influência da cultura na liderança efetiva nas organizações atuais e na base de projetos que se provam bem-sucedidos para a compreensão do comportamento intercultural de líderes e empreendedores. Liderança e empreendedorismo são abordados também no âmbito do debate conceitual e crítico, dentro da academia e das instituições, a partir dos impactos da globalização econômica, das relações internacionais e da transculturalidade. Esses assuntos também foram tratados no âmbito interno da organização, relacionando-os com fatores organizacionais que os influenciam, a exemplo do comprometimento dos colaboradores. Considera-se, ainda, a literatura que aborda liderança e empreendedorismo a partir do funcionamento de equipes de trabalho, que têm cada vez mais um papel fundamental no funcionamento das organizações, nas quais a liderança resulta em um fator crucial para sua efetivação. Conclui-se que todos os estudos que tratam de liderança e empreendedorismo considerados para o presente trabalho se preocupam com o esclarecimento e a delimitação dos conceitos no âmbito organizacional em perspectiva teórica e aplicada com relevo na sua perspectiva cultural.

ABSTRACT

This is a tour of different perspectives of studies and research on leadership and entrepreneurship. The text outlines, briefly, the main paths followed by researchers from various cultures and their contributions to this theme. Some of these subjects, such as virtues and organizational virtuousness were previously absent from the literature on management and organizational behavior, and neglected as well in the academic and business worlds. This includes contributions to the discussion on the theory of entrepreneurship, and its empirical implications; the extent to which culture influences effective leadership in today's organizations and how successful international research projects are designed to understand the intercultural behavior of leaders and entrepreneurs. Leadership and entrepreneurship are also addressed within the conceptual and critical debate, in academia and in institutions, concerning the impacts of economic globalization, international relations, and transcultural reality. At the organization level, the thematic is related to the influence of organizational factors, such as commitment. Further consideration is given to the literature that deals with leadership and entrepreneurship from the point of view of functioning work teams, which have an increasingly key role in the efficacy of organizations, and in which the leader is a crucial factor. In summary, it is possible to conclude that all the studies dealing with leadership and entrepreneurship considered for the present work are related to clarifying and delimiting the concepts, in the organizational context, in a theoretical and applied perspective with an emphasis on their cultural nature.
