Depresión y consumo de sustancias psicoactivas en adolescentes en la ciudad de Bogotá / Depression and consumption of psychoactive substances among adolescents in Bogotá

RESUMEN

Resumen El objetivo de la presente investigación fue determinar la posible relación entre depresión y consumo de sustancias psicoactivas en un grupo de adolescentes de nivel básico secundario de una institución educativa de la localidad cuarta de la ciudad de Bogotá, que tiene convenio con la Secretaria de Educación del Distrito Capital. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo-correlacional. Se trabajó con una muestra compuesta por 88 estudiantes seleccionados intencionalmente, de los cuales 44 eran niños y 44 niñas. El rango de sus edades comprendió los 12 a 17 años, de estrato socioeconómico 2, de grado 8.°. Se les aplicó el cuestionario CDS para depresión y el DUSI -R abreviado para determinar el consumo de sustancias psicoactivas. De los resultados obtenidos, se estableció que hay una correlación significativa entre las dos variables reflejando similitudes con otras investigaciones.

ABSTRACT

Abstract The objective of this research was to determine the possible relationship between depression and the consumption of psycho-active substances in a group of high school students from the fourth district of Bogotá, this school has an agreement with «Secretaria de Educación del Distrito Capital¼. A descriptive - coorelational study was carried out. The simple was composed of 88 students selected on purpose where 44 out of them were boys and 44 were girls. Their average age was between 12 and 17 years, they were eight grade that belonged to socio-economical strata 2, they were applied a questionnaire, depression CDS the concised DUSI -R to determine psycho-active substances consumption. Among the outcomes, it was stated the there is a meaningful co-relation between the two variables reflecting similarities with other researches.
