Desvelando sentidos no trabalho de mulheres na produção avícola / Displaying the meanings of women's work in the poultry production

RESUMO

Este artigo apresenta parte dos resultados de uma pesquisa que investigou os sentidos atribuídos ao trabalho por mulheres atuantes em um pequeno abatedouro avícola, em Santa Catarina, Brasil. A compreensão teórica sobre sentidos do trabalho foi baseada em estudos da Psicologia Social ancorados na abordagem do construcionismo social. O levantamento de informações ocorreu por meio de entrevistas com oito mulheres, observações e análise de documentos organizacionais. Foram efetuadas análises do discurso do material coletado. Os resultados apresentados aqui são referentes às trajetórias profissionais das entrevistadas, caracterizando seus motivos de ingresso no abatedouro, suas relações cotidianas de trabalho e perspectivas profissionais. Conclui-se que suas condições de existência (gênero, idade, localização, moradia) marcaram suas trajetórias no trabalho.

ABSTRACT

This paper informs the results of a research which aimed to analysed the meanings of work for women in a small poultry slaughterhouse, in Santa Catarina State, Brazil. The understanding of the meanings was supported by the Social Psychology related to social constructionism theory. The information was obtained by eight women interviewed, observations and documents consulted. It was made analyses of the material collected. The results describe the women's professional trajectories of the interviewees, indicating the reasons why they started working in the slaughterhouse, their everyday life in the workplace and thoughts of the future professional. I was concluded that their existence conditions (gender, age, location, habitation) have been marked their work's trajectories.
