Memória evocativa em pacientes não dementes com doença de Parkinson / Evocative memory in not demented patients with Parkinson disease

RESUMO

INTRODUÇÃO: A doença de Parkinson (DP) é uma moléstia neuro-psiquiátrica caracterizada principalmente por manifestação motora - tremor de repouso, bradicinesia, rigidez e alterações do equilíbrio. No fim do século XIX, observou-se também comprometimento cognitivo na DP. Entre as alterações cognitivas, estão relacionados o déficit executivo e os distúrbios de memória, que podem ser a principal manifestação da demência de Parkinson. OBJETIVOS: Identificar alterações da memória evocativa em doentes de Parkinson não dementes, relacionando o estadiamento motor da doença com essas alterações. MÉTODOS: Foi utilizado o Protocolo para Diagnóstico e Tratamento da Demência de Alzheimer para caracterizar a memória evocativa de 11 pacientes assistidos no Hospital de Clínicas de Uberlândia, principalmente por meio dos testes "Reconhecimento de figuras" e "Lista de palavras". O estadiamento motor foi avaliado pela escala de Hoehn e Yahr. RESULTADOS: Formaram-se dois grupos de pacientes conforme os resultados obtidos. As variáveis Idade, Percepção visual, Memória incidental, Pontuação na primeira, segunda e terceira tentativa e Memória evocativa no teste Lista de Palavras não apresentaram diferença significativa entre os grupos. Já as variáveis Estádios da Doença de Parkinson segundo a Escala de Hoehne Yahr, Memória imediata 1, Memória imediata 2 e Evocação de 5 minutos apresentaram diferença significativa, e no grupo 2 estas variáveis foram menores. CONCLUSÃO: Não se estabeleceu relação entre a deterioração da memória global do portador da doença de Parkinson com seus prejuízos motores e a memória imediata não teve distinção da memória evocativa com a evolução da doença.

ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION: Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neuropsychiatric disordercharacterized mainly by motor manifestations - resting tremor, bradykinesia, rigidity and balance disorders. In the late 19th century cognitive impairment was also observed in PD. Among the cognitive changes are included primarily executive deficits and memory disorders, which may be the primary manifestation of Parkinson's dementia. OBJECTIVES: To identify changes in evocative memory in not demented PD patients, relating to motor staging of the disease with these changes. METHODS: The protocol for Diagnosis and Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease was used to characterize evocative memory of 11 patients assisted at the Hospital de Clínicas de Uberlândia, mainly through the tests "Recognition of figures" and "Word List". The motor staging of patients was assessed with Hoehn and Yahr scale. RESULTS: Two groups of patients were formed according to the obtained results. The variables Age, Visual perception, Incidental memory score in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd trial and Evocative memory in the test Word List, did not present significant differences between the groups. The variables Stages of Parkinson's disease according to Hoehn and Yahr scale, an Immediate memory 1, Immediate memory 2, and 5 minutes retrieval, showed significant differences between the groups, with lower variables in the group 2. CONCLUSION: No relation was established between the global memory decline in Parkinson's diseasepatients, with their motor impairments, and immediate memory presentedno distinction in relation to the evocative memory with the course of the disease.
