Drogadependencia, estigma y exclusión en salud: Barreras de accesibilidad de drogadependientes a servicios de salud en las ciudades de Barcelona y Buenos Aires / Dependence of drug, stigma and exclusion in health: Barriers of accessibility of drogadependientes to services of health in the cities of Barcelona and Buenos Aires city

RESUMEN

El problema del estigma y la discriminación, constituye un desafío para la investigación sobre exclusión en salud. La relevancia de estudiar los procesos de estigma social, se basa en la necesidad de identificar componentes que disminuyan la exclusión desde una lógica de protección social en salud (OPS/OMS, 2005, p.2). El objetivo del trabajo es construir articulaciones entre los procesos de estigmatización social y la drogadependencia como un caso particular de exclusión en salud¹. Para ello, se realiza una revisión bibliográica y documental y se analizan resultados seleccionados de dos investigaciones que indagan la relación entre los procesos de estigma social sobre la drogadependencia y sus efectos en la accesibilidad de drogadependientes a la atención en salud. La reducción de la estigmatización y la discriminación, es fundamental para la elaboración de políticas de inclusión desde una lógica de respeto por los derechos humanos.

ABSTRACT

The problem of the stigma and the discrimination, it constitutes a challenge for the investigation on exclusion in health. The relevancy of studying the processes of social stigma, is based on the need to identify components that diminish the exclusion from a logic of social protection in health. The aim of the work is to construct joints between the processes of stigmatization socially and the dependence of drug as a particular case of exclusion in health. There is realized a bibliographical and documentary review and there are analyzed results selected of two investigations that investigate the relation between the processes of social stigma on the dependence of drug and his effects in the accessibility of dependents of drugs to the attention in health. The reduction of the stigmatization and the discrimination, it is fundamental for the production of policies of incorporation from a logic of respect for the human rights.
