RESUMO
O objetivo deste estudo é analisar as características do flow-feeling no tênis. São selecionados dez atletas masculinos, idade (média±dp) 21,2±2,94, competindo em um torneio oficial da Associação de Tenistas Profissionais (ATP). Os dados são coletados por meio de uma entrevista semiestruturada com questões relacionadas ao flow-feeling. As entrevistas são analisadas pelo método de análise de conteúdo. São avaliadas as Unidades de Registros (UR) das respostas de cada atleta e as UR de cada dimensão do flow . As dimensões Concentração Intensa na Tarefa, Controle Absoluto das Ações, Objetivos Claros e Equilíbrio Desafio-Habilidade são as dimensões mais citadas, equivalendo a 63,52% de todas as UR citadas pelos atletas. Conclui-se que no tênis competitivo existem dimensões mais latentes, e o aparecimento de outras características, como a importância do condicionamento físico para experimentar o flow.
ABSTRACT
The aim of the study was to analyze the characteristics of flow-feeling in tennis. For this, 10 male athletes, aged 21.2±2.94, competing in official tournament of Association of Professional Tennis players (ATP) have participated in the study. Data were collected through a semi-structured interview with questions related to the flow-feeling. The interviews was analyzed through of content analysis method. The recording units (RU) of responses of each athlete and the RU of each dimension of flow were evaluated. The dimensions Concentration on Task at Hand, Sense of Control and Challenge-Skill Balance were the most cited dimensions, equivalent to 63.52% of all the UR cited by athletes. In competitive tennis there are dimensions more latent and the emergence of others characteristics, such as the importance of physical conditioning to experience the flow.
