RESUMEN

Introducción: en el Hospital Provincial de Camagüey, el Servicio de Imaginología rinde información estadística estipulada por el modelo de Medios de Diagnóstico; sin embargo, esta no satisface las necesidades internas del departamento. Objetivo: perfeccionar la información estadística interna de esta dependencia. Métodos: se realizó un estudio de innovación tecnológica entre enero de 2011 y noviembre de 2012. Se aplicó una entrevista a los trabajadores del Departamento de Imaginología y se analizaron los 132 modelos de datos internos del servicio para identificar la información estadística necesaria. Posteriormente, se diseñaron modelos que recogen información por servicios, a través de un software que implementa el procesamiento de datos no estipulados en el modelo oficial. Resultados: los modelos y su subsiguiente automatización perfeccionaron la información desde el punto de vista de la cobertura, la integridad, la fiabilidad y la inclusión de datos necesarios. El software permitió calcular índices de positividad de los casos estudiados, así como controlar los recursos y exámenes repetidos, lo que contribuyó al procesamiento y recuperación de los datos estadísticos con eficacia, a la vez que favoreció el uso y la explotación racional de los recursos tecnológicos. Los usuarios expresaron elevados niveles de satisfacción con la información aportada. Recomendaciones se recomienda realizar el análisis de costos correspondiente para determinar la factibilidad de la implementación del software desde el punto de vista de la eficiencia y generalizar su instalación en las unidades de salud que utilicen medios de diagnósticos

ABSTRACT

Background: in Manuel Ascunce Domenech Provincial Hospital in Camaguey, the Imaginology Service presents stipulated statistical information using a model of diagnostic means; nevertheless, it does not satisfy the internal needs of the department. Objective: to improve the internal statistical information of this department. Methods: a study about the technological innovation was carried out from January 2011 to November 2012. An interview to the members of the Department of Imaginology was done and 132 models providing internal data of this service were analyzed in order to identify the necessary statistical information. Subsequently, models that collect information of the services were designed through a software that implements the processing of the data that were not specified in the official model. Results: the models and their subsequent automation improved the information from a security, integrity, reliability and inclusion of the necessary data viewpoint. The software allowed to calculate possitivity rates of the cases under study and control the resources and repeated exams what contributed to the effective processing and recovery of the statistical data, thus favouring the use and the rational exploitation of the technological resources. The users expressed high levels of satisfaction with the given information. Recommendations: it is recommended to carry out an analysis of the corresponding costs to determine the feasibility of the implementation of the software from the effective point of view and generalize its installation in health units that use diagnostic means
