Estudio informétrico de la producción científica sobre género en la Universidad Central "Marta Abreu" de Las Villas durante el período 2009-2011 / Informetric study of the scientific literature on gender in Marta Abreu Central University in Las Villas from 2009 to 2011

RESUMEN

Objetivo: describir las tendencias de la producción científica sobre género en la Universidad Central ®Marta Abreu» de Las Villas (UCLV) en el período 2009-2011. Métodos: se realizó un estudio informétrico para visualizar el comportamiento de los principales indicadores de producción con respecto a este tema. Se abordaron la producción científica y los estudios métricos de la información como referentes del procedimiento realizado. Se adscribió a la metodología cuantitativa y se apoyó en una base de datos obtenida de los informes de ciencia y técnica de las Facultades de Ciencias Sociales, Derecho, Humanidades y Psicología para conocer la frecuencia de los indicadores y sus dimensiones. Resultados: se observó la tendencia al decrecimiento de la producción científica sobre género durante el período 2009-2011, materializada en un total de 38 investigaciones. Conclusiones: la Facultad de Psicología es la que ha realizado un mayor aporte a estos estudios. Se destaca en la producción científica sobre género la diversidad temática, principalmente en la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales

ABSTRACT

Objective: this study aimed to describe trends in scientific literature on gender ®Marta Abreu» Central University in Las Villas (UCLV) in 2009-2011. Methods: an informetric study was conducted in order to allow the visualization of the main production indicators behavior on this topic. Scientific production and metric information studies as reference the procedure performed were addressed. Results: this study attached the quantitative methodology and it leaned on a database collected from scientific and technical reports from the Faculties of Social Sciences, Law, Humanities, and Psychology, which made it possible to determine the frequency of indicators and dimensions. As key result, a decreasing tend on the scientific literature on gender was noted during 2009-2011, it was materialized in a total of 38 investigations. Conclusions: The Faculty of Psychology has contributed the most to these studies. The thematic diversity has been excelled in the scientific literature on gender, especially in the Faculty of Social Sciences
