O ritual obsessivo de ocultar facas: a religião individual de um neurótico / The obsessive ritual of concealing Knives: a neurotic individual religion

RESUMO

Partindo da concepção freudiana sobre o ritual na neurose obsessiva, o objetivo deste artigo é enfocar o ritual de ocultar facas como uma religião particular e individual de um neurótico obsessivo. Assim, o autor analisa, de uma forma sucinta, o caso clínico de um neurótico que esconde facas desde a sua infância. O autor conclui que qualquer ato obsessivo expressa a ambivalência presente na dinâmica psíquica dos neuróticos, como o desejar e o temer, o amor e o ódio. Além disso, as pulsões destrutivas também estão presentes nos mesmos.

ABSTRACT

Based on the Freudian conception of rituals pertaining to obsessive neurosis, this article aims to address the case of an obsessive neurotic who ritualizes the concealing of knives. The author briefly analyzes the clinical case of an individual who has hidden knives since childhood, and turned this ritual into a peculiar and idiosyncratic religion. The author concludes that all obsessive actions express the ambivalence found in the psychic dynamic of neurosis, such as desiring and fearing, love and hate. Destructive impulses are also part of this dynamic.
