RESUMEN
Objetivo: Analizar los riesgos psicosociales laborales negativos y el apoyo social como incidentes del síndrome de Burnout en los médicos de familia que laboran en tres instituciones públicas de salud en Guadalajara (México). Materiales y métodos: El estudio fue descriptivo, analítico y comparativo. La población estuvo constituida por los médicos de familia de base de las tres instituciones, nombradas como institución 1,2 y 3. Se emplearon tres instrumentos de evaluación: la Guía de Identificación de Factores Psicosociales del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social, el Inventario de Recursos Sociales de Díaz Veiga modificado y la escala de valoración de Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). Resultados: En general se obtuvo un adecuado o buen apoyo social en las tres instituciones. Las prevalencias para lo factores psicosociales negativos fueron mayores para la institución 3 (33,64 %), mientras que para el síndrome de Burnout la institución 1 mostró mayores porcentajes (43,5 %). Se obtuvieron algunas asociaciones significativas entre las variables de estudio. Conclusión: Es necesario reorganizar ciertas condiciones laborales, específicamente las enfocadas a las tareas laborales, para la prevención y disminución de la presencia del síndrome de Burnout.
ABSTRACT
Objectives: To analyze negative labor psychosocial risks and social support, as incidents of Burnout syndrome in family doctors working in three public health institutions in Guadalajara, Mexico. Material and methods: The study was descriptive, analytical and comparative. The population consisted of family physicians based on the three institutions named as Institution 1, 2, and 3. We used three assessment tools: the Guide to Identify Psychosocial Factors of the Mexican Social Security Institute, the Diaz Veiga Modified Inventory of Social Resources and the rating scale of Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). Results: In general, we found adequate or good social support at the three institutions. The prevalences for the negative psychosocial factors were higher for the institution 3 (33.64 %), while for the Burnout syndrome, the institution showed a higher percentages (43.5 %). There were some significant associations between study variables. Conclusion: The need to reorganize certain working conditions, specifically those focused on work tasks, are essential for the prevention and reduction of the presence of Burnout Syndrome.
