Mesialização de molares com mini-implantes: uma alternativa no tratamento das classes II e III de Angle / Mesial movement of molars with mini-implants - an alternative treatment of class II and class III Angle

RESUMO

O objetivo desse artigo foi demonstrar como os miniimplantesou dispositivos de ancoragem temporária (DAT) podem serutilizados em pacientes com más-oclusões Classes II e III de Angle,tratados por compensação ou camuflagem ortodôntica por meio damesialização de dentes superiores e inferiores. Os mini-implantesfornecem ancoragem esquelética para os tratamentos ortodônticos,permitindo movimentações de forma controlada, diminuindo os efeitoscolaterais e tornando possível a realização de diversos movimentosque antes pareciam praticamente impossíveis de serem realizadospor causa da deficiência de ancoragem. Um desses movimentos éjustamente a mesialização de molares; neste artigo foi descrita umatécnica baseada nessa mecânica, que pode beneficiar os ortodontistasna solução de casos de Classe II e III. Através da abertura de espaçoentre pré-molares e molares, torna-se possível corrigir a relação de caninose, posteriormente, a relação de molares, utilizando mini-implantespara o fechamento dos espaços criados.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this article is to show how mini implantsar temporary anchorage devices (TAD) can be used in patients withAngle Class II and III malocclusions, treated by balance ar orthodonticdisguise with mesial movement of the upper and lower teeth. Themini implants gives skeletal anchorage for orthodontic treatment thatallows controlled movement, reducing side effects and becomingpossible the achievement of several movements that seemed beforevirtually impossible to do because of the lack of anchorage. One ofthese movements is just the mesial movement of molars teeth. Thisarticle is going to describe a technique based on this mechanics thatcan help the orthodontists in the solution in Class II and III cases. Byopening up spaces between bicuspids and molars can be possible tix therelationship between cuspids, and after that, the relationship betweenmolars taking hand of mini implants to close the opened spaces.
